Pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago heading to the Praza do Obradoiro

The Camino passes through Outes

The Camino Xacobeo of the Ría de Muros e Noia passes through Outes, declared an official route by the Cathedral of Santiago in 2020. It is born by the sea, in Muros and Porto do Son, and advances along the ría until it joins in Outes.

A step from the house, the Camino crosses the river Tambre over the Ponte Nafonso —a bridge of medieval origin linking Outes and Noia— and continues through Lousame, Rois, Brión and Ames to the Praza do Obradoiro, in Santiago.

On the official website of the Camino da Ría de Muros e Noia you can see where the route runs and download the GPS tracks, the elevation profiles and the stage guide.

The Fisterra lighthouse, on the Costa da Morte

To kilometre 0, in Fisterra

Many pilgrims extend the Camino towards Fisterra and Muxía, following the old route to the edge of the Atlantic; the new "Volta de Gloria" now links this ría Camino with the Fisterra-Muxía one.

Walk to kilometre 0, on the Costa da Morte, and complete in front of the Fisterra lighthouse one of the most beautiful experiences in the northwest of the peninsula.
