Carnota, the longest beach in Galicia, on the way to Fisterra

Beaches that face Fisterra

The first beach is just ten minutes away by car, and from there the coast links one strand after another for every taste, from sheltered coves to wide beaches open to the Atlantic.

Carnota stands out among them all, the largest beach in Galicia, with more than seven kilometres of fine sand on the way to Fisterra: a horizon of dunes, sea and hills hard to forget.

Fishing port of the ría de Muros e Noia

Fishing ports

The ports add their charm. Porto do Freixo is known for shellfishing, with the ría full of boats and the comings and goings of seafaring life.

In Muros you can take boat trips to see the mussel rafts of the ría up close, a great way to understand how this corner of the Costa da Morte lives.
